We LOVE girls who love perfume.. who love leopard print and heels and jean jackets, and iced cream and bubblegum, fishnets and ripped t-shirts, ripped sweaters, guitar riffs, rock n’ roll, punk, goth and everything in between. We love girls who love bottle upon bottle of perfume!

Maria and I were at the Cherry Bomb Studio today when Aza appeared in a amazing Guess dress and silver jacket. We dropped our bottles of perfume and ran to the beach nearby ( yes, in NYC!) and WOW what awesome shots of our beautiful pin-up!

Leopard Print Madness
Maria and I ( Alexis) LOVE leopard print! I mean really love… like give us leopard print coats, boots, purses! You name it we have it. And we ask ourselves why leopard? Is it because of the famed, glamourous images of starlets of the 1950’s sporting this print like Bettie Page in the photo above?
Wearing it makes us feel a bit dangerous, a bit sexy, a bit daring. Maybe it brings out the inner cat within-seductive, sassy, ready to pounce. So this is our ode to leopard print, and the mystery of the pattern that turns heads and makes us feel special.

WE LOVE THIS BOOK!
We have been reading Lonely Werewolf Girl by Martin Millar, and no, it is not just another werewolf book following in the wake of Twilight. It is it’s own thing, and then some. It’s the best of teen angst fantasy meets punk rock attitude on the streets of London! It’s a Cherry Bomb pick for sure.
Sweat plasters your shirt to your back as you make your way through the crowd, corsets, piercings and fishnets flashing before your eyes as you step onto the dance floor. You start to move to the thrum of base vibrating through your feet and electric guitars screaming in your ears.
“I am of this!” you shout, loving the way you feel on this hot summer night.
Your boots stomp in rhythm, arms outstretched to the overhead lights that make you disappear and reappear with every colored blink. A tingle in your spine, and you spin around swiftly. That’s when you catch site of him, guitar slung across his shoulder, tattoos winding up his arms-symbols that at that moment, as he catches your eye, you know only you can cipher.
Smoke machine fog lifts as the music thunders, obscuring all from view. When it clears, he is gone. The metal door, a mosaic of band stickers, is slightly open, and you step out of the safe realm of the club and into the waiting city. Tiny papers litter the street. You stoop to gather some in your hand. They all say the same thing : Follow Me.
Neon signs blink warnings, and taxi’s honk for attention. You ignore them, shoving a note into the back pocket of you jeans, and toss the rest into the air where they lilt for a moment like fake snow. A scent catches your attention. It is sweet and dangerous all at once. It lingers down the street. A smile curls along your lips, and you follow it. You pass by blinking signs, weave your way through passerby and stop suddenly. The alley is deadly dark. You feel a rush of cool air and hear the subway grumbling nearby. The scent is fading, and you fear loosing it, so you step into the alley and see in the dimness a disembodied flame of a lighter. Something gently brushes your face…a wing? A hand? Then a whisper.
“Follow me..”
